Justin Bieber asking his stylist to change things up can cause a seismic shift with his fans.

The Biebs caused hysteria among thousands of his hair-adoring followers last Friday at a New York City Barnes & Noble when he showed up with a shorter hairdo to promote his new memoir "Justin Bieber: First Step 2 Forever."

Not only did Bieber ditch the long eye-grazing bangs, but it looked as though his signature side-swept flip was toned down, too.

We told you this was big news: Justin Bieber's hair has long been a point of fascination to his fans, whether they are teens or Kim Kardashian.

What caused this teen idol to change his famous feathery locks? We don't know, but we suspect this young hearthrob may be outgrowing his "Baby" ways.

Whatever the reason, his trademark bangs had returned after the Thanksgiving holiday when he appeared at a photo shoot in Madrid, Spain where he appeared to promote 'My Worlds.'


Yikes! Next thing you know he'll be sprouting chest hair out his teenage T-shirts (with a flip, of course).
